CALVIN WONG MING KIT
Calvin Wong Ming Kit is an experienced 'head hunter' who was a Managing Partner of a US based international executive search firm for a period of ten years then joined another UK based search firm as their Asian Region Executive Director. Though Mr. Wong was born in Hong Kong, his family, who have extensive interests in the textile trade, originate from Shanghai.
Mr. Wong was educated at St. Francis Xavier's College, one of Hong Kong's best known High Schools. Thereafter he pursued a degree in Business Economics from the University of California, where he graduated in 1978.
Mr. Wong has been actively involved, since 1985, in executive search for companies needing to fill key management positions in both Hong Kong and China. Mr. Wong is expert at identifying experienced operational executives in Hong Kong, and the region, to live either in China or be based in Hong Kong but conduct business in the PRC. His industry experience and knowledge includes shipping, logistics, retailing, sourcing, FMCG, banking, finance & accounting, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food and beverages, manufacturing, high technology, electronics, administration & HR, as well as general trade. He has, as a result, besides recruiting expatriates, significant experience identifying local candidates across China, including Dalian, Xian, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Qingdao and all special economic zones.
Mr. Wong's western exposure and extensive knowledge of how China works, combined with his language skills (fluent English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Shanghainese) make him an invaluable counselor to any company wishing to develop its business and operations in the Asian region.
